JACKSON, David G. age 54 of Butler Twp. went to be with the Lord Wednesday December 12, 2007 following an illness. David was a 1972 graduate of Vandalia Butler High School and was a longtime farmer in the Vandalia area. He was a member of Community Grace Brethren Church in West Milton and was a supporter of the Tipp City Schools wrestling program. David was a devoted family man, husband and father who touched the lives of all who knew him. He was preceded in death by a brother James Jackson and a sister-in-law Beth Jackson. David is survived by his wife Debbie; his mother Phyllis & husband Norman Hazelbaker of Laura; his father Gary & wife Pauline Jackson of FL; daughter Jaime & husband Jack Marshall of Vandalia; son Nathan & wife Barb Jackson of Tipp City; brother Pat & wife Tammy Jackson of Greenville; 3 sisters Robin Adams of Troy, Cindy Porter of Troy, Peggy & husband Russ Sergent of West Milton; step-sister Sue & husband Sherman Brown of Cleveland; 2 step-sons Banks Coggin of Vandalia and Ryan Coggin of GA; 4 grandchildren Tatum, Morgan, Jack, and Grace; mother and father-in-law Warren & Norma Piercey of Vandalia; brother-in-law Jeff Piercey of Vandalia; sister-in-law Julie Piercey of Cincinnati, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday December 17 at 10:30am at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia with Pastor Aaron Deal officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 5pm. If so desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Davids memory.
