David L. Spencer

SPENCER, David L., age 62 of Vandalia, passed away Monday, August 11, 2014 after a brief illness. He was born January 30, 1952 in Dayton, OH, son of the late Robert L. & Delores (Youngerman) Spencer. David was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints - Englewood Ward and was an employee of Norwood Medical. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Stephanie (Snyder); 3 children, David Spencer (Shanna), Jennifer Oliver (Earl) and Andrew Spencer (Jessica); 6 grandchildren, Paige, Tori, Jacob, Raven, Lily & Layne; 3 sisters, Debbie Mahle, Dee Simon (Choloe the dog) & Lori McGuffey (Brenda), along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and good friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, August 18 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Bishop Dan Brazelton officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2-5 pm.
