Della L. Dudis

DUDIS, Della L., age 86, of Vandalia, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born April 26, 1923 in Bryson City, North Carolina, daughter of the late Andrew J. & Nola (Slagle) DeHart. Della was a member of the Vandalia Baptist Temple. Preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Dudis Sr. and 11 brothers & sisters, Della is survived by her daughter, Dianne Mertz of Springboro; 2 sons, Edward A. Dudis Jr. of Vandalia, and Douglas & wife, Vicki Dudis of Tipp City; grandchildren, Sherry Miller (Glenn), Stephen Mertz, Daniel Mertz, David Dudis ( Rebekah) & Nathan Dudis; and 1 brother, Waymouth DeHart of NC, and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, March 27, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Randy Washburn officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Vandalia Baptist Temple in Dellas memory.
