Delsie (Marie) Martindale

Marie Martindale, age 93, of Tipp City, Ohio, formerly of Bloomfield, IN, passed away December 31, 2019.

She was born on February 21, 1926 in Hart County, KY, the daughter of Homer and Lucy (Coffey) Hedgspeth. She married Carl T. Martindale on September 5, 1941, who preceded her in death on February 16, 2001.

She worked at Sarkes Tarzan and many years at RCA where she eventually retired.

Survivors include one daughter, Betty Hempy, Tipp City, Ohio; two sons, Ivan (and Kathy) Martindale of Bloomington, IN and John (and Suzan) Martindale, Blue Bell, PA; 7 grandchildren, Rick (and Shelly) Terrell, Columbus, Ohio, Robin Terrell, Vandalia, Ohio, Thomas (and Abigail) Martindale, Fishers, IN, Sean (and Eve) Martindale, Mt Pleasant, SC, Marta (and Tim) Rutar, Charlestown, IN, Alysha Marie (and Cara) Martindale, Eagleville, PA, and Steven A. Martindale, Blue Bell, PA; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Wanda Groomer, Bloomfield, IN; one brother Donald (and Faye) Hedgspeth, Shepherdsville, KY; one sister-in-law, Velva Hedgspeth, Austin, IN; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; two brothers, Johnsey Hedgspeth and Charles Hedgspeth; one sister Clara Mae Hedgspeth; and her parents.

Graveside rites will take place on Monday January 6, 2020 at 12 noon at Carmichael Cemetery with Pastor Allen Jackson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to The Old Time Apostolic Church.
