Dennis Ryan

Age 76, of Tipp City, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017. Dennis was born December 7, 1940 in Scarsdale, New York to the late Hugh & Elsie (Grant) Ryan. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two siblings and his beloved pets, Sandy, Katie & Murphy.

Dennis was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church for the past 25 years. He retired in 1993 from General Motors with 28 years of service. Dennis was a life-long fan of Notre Dame, an avid sports fan in general and for 23 years he announced for the Tipp City Girls Basketball games.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of the past 51 years, Nancy C. (Rohler) Ryan; three children, Kevin Ryan (Patty), Kelly Luken (Dale) & Terri Ryan; and by four grandchildren, Emily, Molly, Jarod & Maggie.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Francis Keferl at 11:00 a.m., Monday (7/3) at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 435 E. National Road, Vandalia. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Tipp City. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Dennis to either the St. Christopher Helping Hands Ministry or the Humane Society of Greater Dayton.
