Denver E. Hoskins

Age 88, of Vandalia, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017, at The Hospice of Dayton.

Denver was born March 20, 1928 in Asher, Kentucky to the late Calloway & Bertha (Pennington) Hoskins.

Denver was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vandalia and the Vandalia Masonic Lodge # 742. He retired from General Motors in 1985 with 38 years of service.

Denver is survived by his wife of the past 67 years, Jean (Keen) Hoskins; three children, Denver “Denny” Hoskins (Joy), Gary Hoskins (Cindy) and Pam Wagenbach; nine grandchildren, Jeremiah, David (Molly), Natasha (Chris), Holly (Trint), Christopher, Garrett (Kalicia), Kendal, Jacob (Venecia) & Kyli; and by six great grandchildren, Mason, Caleb, Logan, Jackson, Josie & Nora.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday (2/3) at the First Baptist Church of Vandalia with John Seagraves officiating. Interment will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 10:30 a.m. until time of service.

Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia, is in charge of arrangements.

If desired, contributions may be made in memory of Denver to either the First Baptist Church or The Hospice of Dayton.
