Dolores E. Wilmer

WILMER, Dolores E., age 89 of the Ohio Masonic Home, Springfield passed away peacefully Thursday, April 4, 2013. She was born July 29, 1923 in Dayton, OH, daughter of the late Thomas & Thelma (Silvey) Stringer. Preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Wilmer Sr.; 1 son, Paul E. Wilmer Jr., and her brother, Barney Stringer, Dolores is survived by her son, Terry M. Wilmer; daughter, Sylvia (Wilmer) Huddleston (Tom); 7 grandchildren, Patricia Hawley, Laura Knipp, James Bergstrom, Jon Bergstrom, Amy Smith, Holly Albright, & Michael Wilmer; 13 great-grandchildren, Ben, Mary, Tim, Matt, Nick, Morgan, Mitchell, Garett, Jared, Ryan, Joel, Aliya, & Makenna; her sister, Jerri Petrocelli; and special friends, Paul Strobel and Sylva Aldredge. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, April 8, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor Tom Hanover officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12 noon until time of service. The family would like to offer their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Ohio Masonic Home of Springfield for their dedicated and compassionate care of Dolores over the last several years. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ohio Masonic Home, 2655 W. National Rd., Springfield, OH 45504 in honor of Dolores.
