Donald L Anthony

ANTHONY, Donald L., Tony , age 70 of Vandalia, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 20, 2008 at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born August 15, 1937 in Dayton, OH, son of the late Louis & Lillian (Gillespie) Anthony. Tony proudly served his country as a US Marine Corp Veteran, was a member of the AmVets Post #99, the American Legion Post #668 and the VFW Post #9582, and was the former owner/operator of Tonys Bobcat Service in Vandalia. Preceded in death by his brother, Robert J. Anthony, Tony is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jackalyn (Wagner) of Vandalia; 1 daughter, Vicki & husband, Andrew Blumenstein of Vandalia; 2 grandchildren, Laura & Daniel Blumenstein; and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, March 26, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Ronald Hajarian officiating. Burial to follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5-8 pm.
