Donald O. Kabel

KABEL, Donald O. age 74 of Vandalia, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born January 21, 1937 in Dayton, OH, son of the late Oscar & Myrtle Kabel. Donald was a Manager with the Habegger Corporation where he worked in appliance repair and service. He was a member of the Marine Corp Reserves in Vietnam and was a member of the Western Ohio Radio Control Plane Club. Preceded in death by his wife, Rose Anne Kabel in April 2011, Donald is survived by his daughter, Rose Lynn Kabel of Butler Twp.; 1 sister, Linda Kabel of Corpus Christi, TX and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, June 23 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. John Fowler officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm.
