Leach, Donald D.

Born October 4, 1933, in Wellston, OH, he went home to be with the Lord on July 17, 2024. Don was preceded to Heaven by his parents Harold and Iva, his wife of 57 years Louise, infant daughter Kelly Louise, and five siblings. He is survived by 2 sons, Robert Stephen and Andrew Scott: Missy Godsey, Gannon Godsey along with his wife Shelby and granddaughter Lennon. Don was a class of 1952 graduate of Roosevelt High School, served 4 years in the Navy and worked for 41-years at General Motors as a plumber. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Butler Township, and Englewood Lodge #743 F&AM. Don loved sports at all levels and influenced many young people while coaching pee wee football. Throughout his life, Don touched many people. What was pain on earth, is now joy in Heaven, Don will be missed by all who crossed paths with him. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday July 23 at 12:30pm at St Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Kurt Lammi officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday morning from 11am until time of the service. If so desired, contributions may be made to Guiding Eyes for the Blind in Don’s memory.
