Donald R. McFarland

He was a dedicated member of Victory United Methodist Church for many years and later Shiloh Church. Don was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and U. D. Basketball.
He was an active volunteer in his community both before and after he retired from Darol Company. He was always ready to help whether through organizations such as the Lions Club and Habitat for Humanity, or just with an individual in need.
A life-long resident of Northridge, Don will be remembered by many for his kind and loving nature. He bore the indignities and infirmities of advanced age with a cheerful disposition and soft humor, always quick with a witty quip and words of appreciation to the wonderful people who cared for him (Jessica, Ashley, Jordaya, Makayla, Tiffany, Kaelin, April, Jean, and others). Hospice care was also outstanding, especially W C, Susanne, Kim, and Heather.
Don is survived by his loving wife and best friend of nearly 69 years, Mary Ruth (Hofferbert) McFarland; three children, Diana Molchan & her husband, William, James McFarland & his wife, Betsy and Bettsy Leech & her husband, David; eight grandchildren, Jessica (Mike), Brian, Quill, Bill, Laura (Ben), Christina, Mike & Allie; five great grandchildren, Mira, Sophia, Alison, Nora & Lily; and by his extended family & many good friends.
