Donald W. Rupert
Age 87, of Dayton, Ohio passed away Friday, March 20, 2020, at 12:30 p.m. He was born September 9, 1932 in Ford Cliff, Pennsylvania (Armstrong County, Manor Township) to the late Floyd & Aida (Miller) Rupert. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Emilie (Rowland) Rupert; sons, Richard & Ed Rupert; daughter-in-law, Sharon Rupert; and sisters, Delores & Sis.
Donald is survived by his daughter, Donna (Ray) Leisure; son, Chris Rupert; his significant other, Jean Covert and her son, Patrick; daughter-in-law, Pauline Rupert (Linkus); brother, Harry Rupert; grandchildren, Shannon, Nicole, Kristin, Andrea (James); and by great grandchildren, Savannah, Donald, Nicholas, Emily & Addisson.
Donald retired from National Cash Register (NCR). He served four years in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War where he earned a Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal and the Air Crew Member Badge. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards with his friends. He was also a hunter, enjoyed golfing, listening to his favorite country music songs, bowling, soft ball, shooting pool, living by the lake & sitting on his porch waving to everyone who passed by.
A memorial service will be scheduled when the family is able to get together.
