SMITH, Donald W., age 73 of Tipp City, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Springmeade Health Center. He was born June 7, 1937 in Troy, Ohio. Donald was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #43 in Troy. Preceded in death by his wife, Janet in 2005, Donald is survived by his daughter, Melissa Bracy & husband, Doug of Tipp City; son, Geoffrey Smith of Vandalia; granddaughter, Liana Childre; great-grandson, Alexander Childre and numerous friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, March 18 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor Jessie Tipton officiating. Burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5-7 pm.
