Donna V. Guethlen

GUETHLEN, Donna V., age 93 of Lake Lakengren, OH, passed away suddenly at her home, Friday, January 23, 2015. She was born December 6, 1921 in Richwood, OH, daughter of the late Marion & Gertrude (White) Heenan. Donna was an active member of the Eaton United Church of Christ and a member of the Red Hat Society. She spent time with her wonderfully supportive and close friends through her activities in the Lakengren Card Club, Garden Club, and Women's Club; the Eaton Senior Center; and the Rosie Reds. Preceded in death by her husband, John F. (2002); her son, John D. (1983); daughter, Dorothy (1999); brother-in-law, Jim Gravitt, and sister-in-law, Gladys Guethlen. Donna is survived by her daughter, Susan Seitz of Butler Twp.; 3 grandchildren: Craig Seitz (Lisa); Amy Pennetti (Steve McGrinder); and Jennifer Watkins (John); 8 great-grandchildren, Sara, David, Katie, Kristina, Cody, Carson, Daniel, & Elainey; 1 sister, Una Gravitt; brother-in-law, Victor Guethlen; 4 nieces, Sandy, Linda, Janice & Debra; 2 nephews, Michael & Bobby; wonderful neighbors and dear friends, Margaret & Paul Healey, Gladys & Bob Myers, Sheila & Dave Senften; and a host of other relatives and very special friends. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia, on Monday evening January 26, from 6-8 pm; and from 10-11 am on Tuesday morning, January 27, prior to the funeral service to be held at 11:00 am at the Eaton United Church of Christ, 113 W. Decatur St., Eaton, OH with Pastor Roger Stein officiating. A Graveside Service will then be held at 3:00 pm for family and friends at the Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery, 8135 N. Dixie Dr., Dayton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Eaton United Church of Christ in Donna's memory.
