Donna L. Verburg

VERBURG, Donna L., age 82 of Vandalia, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Grace Brethren Village in Englewood. She was born May 12, 1933 in Dayton, OH, daughter of the late Chester & Chloetta (Rogers) Linebaugh. Donna retired from John Murphy Orthodontics and was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church. Donna was a loving mother of 3, a grandma and great-grandma. She will be greatly missed but we have loving memories to sustain us. Preceded in death by her devoted husband, Charles Verburg in 2010, daughter-in-law, Cindy Verburg in 2001 and sister-in-law, Joyce Tucker, Donna is survived by 3 sons, Doug Verburg (Suzi), Ken Verburg (Nancy) and Brad A. Verburg (Jill); 6 grandchildren, Brian Verburg (Megan), Matt Verburg (Holly), Amy Helkowski (Darin), Michael Bush (Rachel), Maggie Leonard (Adam) and Amanda Stewart (Nick); 11 great-grandchildren, Conner, Logan, Tate, Cole, Max, Gavin, Anna Grace, Kenleigh, Prestin, Alaina & Ethan; 1 sister, Marylyn Facchinni; brother-in-law, Paul Tucker; nieces, Paula Whitecar (Don) and Michelle Graham (Bobby), best friend and neighbor, Judy Landis and a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, August 7 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Interment will follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Dayton in Donna's memory.
