Dora Jestine Sagraves

SAGRAVES, Dora Jestine, age 89 formerly of Butler Twp., passed away Thursday June 18, 2009 at the Mercy Sienna Woods after a lengthy illness. She was born June 1, 1920 in Portsmouth, OH daughter of the late Henry & Emma Hodge. She was a retired employee of the Vandalia Butler School System. Mrs. Sagraves was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, A.T.A., Good Sam Campers Club, and the Vandalia Grandmothers Club. She was preceded in death by her husband Oscar Lloyd Sagraves; one daughter Patricia Walker, 5 sisters and one brother. Jestine is survived by 2 sons & daughters-in-law James L. & Sylvia Sagraves of Englewood, and Michael S. & Yvonne Sagraves of Centerville; one son-in-law Frank Walker of W. VA; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services were held Monday June 22 at St Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Kurt Lammi officiating. Burial followed at Memorial Park Cemetery. If so desired, contributions may be made to Mercy Sienna Woods or to St Paul Lutheran Church in Jestines memory.
