Doreen Brewer

BREWER, Doreen (VanWinkle), born March 1, 1947 passed away Friday, September 18, 2015 very peacefully at home with her family by her side like she wanted, after a 4 year battle with lung cancer. Doreen served as the Office Manager at Englewood Family Practice for 35 years and was also President of the Ladies Auxiliary for American Legion Post #707 for 4 years. She is survived by her husband, Nicholas H. Brewer; son, Todd J. Barto, step-daughter, Lenotta M. Brewer; 2 granddaughters, Lexi M.E. Barto & Taylor M. Barto, who were her absolute pride and joy. Also surviving are her sisters, Marji Baldwin, Karen Madrigal, and Ramona Unangst; brother, James VanWinkle and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. There will be no formal service. The family will plan a Celebration of Life for Doreen near the holidays as she loved the holiday season. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Doreen's memory. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
