Doris Jean Holderman

HOLDERMAN, Doris Jean, age 79 of Vandalia, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Koester Pavilion in Troy. She was born April 14, 1933 in Dayton, OH, daughter of the late Lester & Anna Wilson. Preceded in death by her first husband, Orville Larrick, second husband, Garland Wesley Stone and her brother, Robert Wilson, Doris is survived by 2 sons, Wesley Mitch Stone (Sharon Hoel) and Skip Larrick; grandchildren, Shawn M. Stone, Daniel Hoel, Jeremey, Michael, Elijah, Sabrina & Rebecca Larrick and Brett Stacy; great-grandchildren, Gage, Aleigha & Jessie Larrick; 4 sisters, Monna Lyons (Larry), Donna Crumm, Florence Frankie Grimmett, and Darlene Francis (Jim), and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, March 11 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Chaplain Candy Null officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 noon until time of service. The family would like to offer their sincere thanks to the staff of Koester Pavilion as well as the Heartland Hospice group who took such wonderful and compassionate care of Doris.
