Doris Imogene Roper

ROPER, Doris Imogene, age 83, of Troy, formerly of Vandalia, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at her residence. She was born December 10, 1926 in Spring Hill, Ohio, daughter of the late Leslie & Floe (Weaver) Frantz. Imogene was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt. She was a former member of the Christian Life Center, and recently attended the New Hope Open Bible Church. Preceded in death by 1 daughter, Judith Marie Roper, and 1 brother, Charles Leslie Frantz (Elizabeth), Imogene is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph R. Roper of Troy; 2 daughters, Doris Kay Roper of CA and Nancy Jo Little (Doug) of Troy, and a very special niece, Anne C. Frantz. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm, Friday, November 5 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Brian Ehlers officiating. Private family burial will be held at Springhills Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 pm until time of service.
