Dorothy “Dottie” Anthony

A devoted mother, wife, sister and grandmother of Tipp City, Ohio passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 7, 2022, a few weeks shy of her 86th birthday.

Dottie was born August 30, 1936, to mother Dorothy and father Albert Slick in York, Pennsylvania and was the oldest child in a large family with 11 brothers and sisters. She finished school and married David Anthony with whom she was married to for over 67 years, together they had four boys, Donald, Jerry, Ty and Troy, for which she was a very loving and supportive mother. After their third child, they moved to Ohio for the remainder of her time, where she worked and retired from Ledex in Vandalia, Ohio, and spent her time in retirement with her husband working around the house and spending time with her sons and grandchildren. She had very strong family values and cared for everyone in her family, including siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She was looked up to by many people for her honest opinion and advice, she was considered a cornerstone to everyone in her family, and she was loved greatly and will be missed dearly by all of them.

A graveside service will be held for her on Friday, August 12, at 2:00 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery in Tipp City on South Hyatt Street.
