Dorothy Cromes

CROMES, Dorothy B. age 97 of Dayton, passed away Friday October 31, 2008 at Vandalia Park Nursing Center. She was born October 28, 1911 in Miami Co. OH, daughter of the late William & Mary Ellen (Mast) Wilhelm. She was a direct descendent to Benjamin Wilhelm who was the founder of Vandalia. Dorothy was a member of the Vandalia Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband Orville Edward Cromes; one brother Woody Wilhelm, and a daughter-in-law Beverly Cromes. Surviving Dorothy are 3 sons Orville (Nancy) Cromes of Huber Heights, William Cromes of FL, and Kenneth (Sue) Cromes of Verona; 9 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday November 4, at 1:00pm at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia with Mr. Bruce Gleim officiating. Burial follows at Bethel Cemetery.
