Dorothy Gilland

GILLAND, Dorothy M. age 73 of Vandalia, passed away Sunday August 14, 2005 at Vandalia Park Nursing Center following an illness. She was born October 26, 1931 in Dayton, daughter of the late Irvin & Sylvia Gilland. Dorothy had attended the Living Word Church and was a devout Christian who enjoyed reading Bible passages and praying for others. She exuded love to everyone who was around her. She is survived by cousins Wilma Brent and Darlene Rash and their families, dear friend Bonnie & husband Steve Davis and their children Lauren and Troy and her extended family who loved and cared for her at Vandalia Park. Graveside services for family & friends will be held at 11:00am Wednesday August 17, 2005 at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Dorothys memory. Arrangements in care of Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home.
