Marie met Julius Pete Brodbeck at Jameson Hospital where she was a student nurse and he was lab technician. When they were married in 1963 neither of them had a job or a place of their own to live. Marie and Julius were happily married 47 years. Marie enjoyed reading romance novels, watching the soaps, crocheting, playing the piano, talking on the phone, spending time with family, and vacationing at the beach. She is survived by her husband Julius and three daughters: Melinda (BJ) Auckerman-Keyse of Columbus, Jeanette (Dave Johnson) Heilbrunn of Greenville, and Donna (Stan) Watts of Columbus, Ohio. Marie is also survived by seven blood grandchildren: Garrett Auckerman, Megan Fleming, Marietta Keyse, Ryan and Kyle Watts, Jazmin and Gabriel Heilbrunn, and two great-grandchildren: Tori Bercaw, and Gracelynn Keyse.
