Edgar Bodenmiller

BODENMILLER, Edgar S., passed away peacefully on April 10. 2007 at Grandview Hospital. He was born on March 4, 1915 in Hamilton, OH, son of the late Vernon & Lillian (Nieberlein) Bodenmiller. Ed was a US Navy Veteran of WW II and a retired toolmaker. He was a member of the St. Johns Lutheran Church and the VFW Post #9582 in Vandalia. During his retirement, Ed was a volunteer at the church and the VFW Post. A devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather, Ed is survived by his wife, Doris; son, David; daughter, Ruth & husband, Kevin Shank; and his grandchildren, Raina, Kainan and Roman Shank. Edgar is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm, Friday, April 13 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor Gil Santiago officiating. Burial to follow at Hillgrove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until time of service. If so desired, the family requests contributions be made to the charity of your choice in Eds memory. The family would also like to thank Dr. Jim Wilcher, Grandview Hospital and their staff for the loving care they all provided to Ed.
