WHITE, Edward Lewis, age 71, of Xenia, formerly of Vandalia, was born October 5, 1941 in Columbiana, Ohio to parents George and Winifred (Mitchell) White. After graduation from Ashtabula High School in 1959, Ed enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and did a tour of duty in France. He completed his military service in 1962 at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He retired from Kodak in 2006. He is survived by 2 brothers, Winfield (Skip) & wife, JoAnn of OR, Neil & wife, Margaret of Ky., and a sister Marcie & husband David Moody of AZ;, 3 daughters, Ronda White of Troy, Kay White & husband, Ted Blakley of Vandalia, and Tina & husband, Enoch Moeller of NC, along with 5 grandchildren, & 1 great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, March 30 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor David Starry officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 pm until time of service. Donations can be made to the charity of your choice in Edwards memory. He was a very giving person who always had a smile on his face. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
