Elizabeth (Bette) Netzley

Elizabeth J. (Bette) Netzley, 87, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011, in Kinston, NY. She was born November 22, 1923 in Kalamazoo, MI, daughter of the late Faye & Margaret Cook Lawrence. A Kripplebush, NY, resident for the past 43 years, she had previously resided in San Jose, CA , Indiana, Illinois, and Dayton, OH. Mrs. Netzley was an active member of the Kripplebush United Methodist Church, had been active in the 4-H Club of America as a leader and a member of the Eastern Star. She had practiced as a Registered Nurse and had graduated Valedictorian of her class. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, traveling, singing in the church choir, and of course, dining out. Her husband of 62 years, Jack W. Netzley Sr. died December 2, 2007, a former resident of Dayton, OH. She is survived by children, Jack Jr. of Little Rock, AK; Linda of Loomis, CA; Craig of Mountoursville, PA; Ronald of Kripplebush, Diana Munn of Pittsboro, NC; and Scott of So. Elgin, IL. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Viewing (8:30 am) and funeral services (9:30 am) will be held Saturday, June 18, at Morton and Whetsone Funeral Home in Vandalia, OH, followed by interment (for family only) at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
