Elizabeth Lyle (Stewart) “Betty” Brown

Age 90 years, went home to be with her Lord on May 28, 2022.  Betty was born April 6, 1932 in Lynn, Massachusetts and married Richard Brown, the love of her life of over 52 years in 1952.  Following his service in Korea they came to Butler Township to make their home and raise their family and she spent all of her adult life there.  She was a long-time active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Dayton.  Betty was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.  She was  loving, thoughtful, selfless, and big-hearted, a beautiful person to those around her.    She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Brown and daughter Debra (Brown) DePoyster.  She is survived by 2 sons: Dale and Paula (Mills) Brown, and Daryl and Lisa (Kinder) Brown; and 7 grandchildren: David Brown, Elizabeth (Brown) and Rader Johnson, Jeremy DePoyster, Jonathan DePoyster, Jenna (DePoyster) and Julian Ferguson, Dillon Brown, and Emma Brown.  She will be greatly missed by both family and friend.

She will be buried along with her husband at Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 W Third St. Dayton OH.  Family and friends are invited to a Committal Service at the Cemetery Thursday June 16, 2022 at 10:00 AM.
