Ellen R. Bean

BEAN, Ellen R. age 80 of Dayton, passed away Thursday June 21, 2012 at Springmeade Care Center following an illness. She was born October 21, 1931 in Cookeville, TN, daughter of the late Alex & Verona (Bartlett) Wilmoth. Ellen was a member of the Tabernacle of God Church in Hillsboro where she was an active volunteer and got the privilege and satisfaction of helping many people. She was preceded in death by one brother Kenneth and 2 sisters Sylvia and Marie. Ellen is survived by her husband of 65 yrs. Shirley L. Bean; her children Linda & Jerry Miller of Troy, Joan & Dave Koewler of Dayton, Shelia Reid of Piqua; Jeffrey & Faith Bean of Dayton; 4 brothers Joe, Jerry, Frank, and Ray Wilmoth; 2 sisters Dimple Allen and Edith Hollaway; 3 granddaughters Stephanie Miller, Rachael DeBerry, Crystal Reid; 5 great-grandchildren Taylor, Zachary, Turner, Logan, Jordan and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday June 25 at 10:00am at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia with Rev. Russell Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 3 to 6pm.
