Ellen S. “Ellie” Earnhart

Age 69, of Vandalia, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at The Hospice of Dayton.

Ellen was born June 10, 1947 in Miami, Florida to the late Charles & Beverly Norman.

Ellie graduated from Morgantown (West Virginia) High School, class of 1965 and as Valedictorian of her Nursing School Class at Sinclair Community College. She went on to enjoy a 34-year career as a Cardiovascular nurse with St. Elizabeth Hospital and later with Hans Zwart & Associates. Ellie was a member of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America and active with the Vandalia Senior Citizens Center where she especially enjoyed various art classes offered by the center.

She is survived by her loving husband, Steve Earnhart; son, Michael Keller (Nancy); three grandchildren, Daniel, David & Allison Keller; brother, Samuel Norman (Penny) and sister Rebecca Weber (William).

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Ellie to either The Hospice of Dayton or the American Cancer Society.
