FAULK, Elmer L., age 90, of Butler Twp., passed away Friday, September 9, 2011 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born October 11, 1920 in Coatesville, PA, son of the late Lyman B. & Ida (Payne) Faulk. Elmer was a retired employee of TWA with 25 years of service and was a member of the St. Pauls Lutheran Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II, proudly serving at the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the VFW Post #9582, AmVets Post #99, American Legion Post #668, the Good Faith Masonic Lodge in Florence, KY and the Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton. Elmer is survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley; 1 daughter, Sheree & husband, John Heis of Butler Twp., 1 son, Barry & wife, Dianna Faulk of Butler Twp.; 3 grandchildren, Angela Taylor, Christopher and wife, Rebekah Taylor, and Jillian Kerlin. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, September 16 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 7700 Dog Leg Rd., with Pastor Kurt Lammi officiating. Burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 3227 Dixie Highway, Erlangler, KY. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Pauls Lutheran Church or to Hospice of Dayton in Elmers memory.
