Elmer Hicks

HICKS, Elmer R., age 79 of Huber Heights, passed away Friday, April 17, 2009 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD. He was born July 28. 1929 in Harlan County, KY, son of the late Roy & Marie (Thomas) Hicks. Elmer was a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was employed as a rental agent with Huber Homes. He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Lamb of Edgewater, MD; 2 brothers, Raymond & wife, Jane Hicks of Vandalia and Charles & wife, Wanda Hicks of Tipp City; 8 grandchildren; his former wife, Mildred Hicks of Huber Heights, and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, April 23, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Randy Washburn officiating. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm.
