Elsie Hill

HILL, Elsie M., age 94 of Englewood, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at the Sunrise Assisted Living Center. She was born December 26, 1914 in Bell County, KY, daughter of the late Cillis & Mary (Fox) Brooks. Elsie was a charter member of the Crestview Baptist Church in Clayton and had formerly attended the North Huber Heights Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Ester in 1999, 1 son, Donald & 3 brothers, Elsie is survived by 2 daughters, Joyce Arnold of Vandalia & Dowana & husband, Jack Brock of Butler Twp.; 1 daughter-in-law, Susan Hill of WA; 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, July 2, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor Thomas Bowman officiating. Burial to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10:00 am until time of service. If so desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or the North Huber Heights Baptist Church in Elsies memory.
