CHATMAN, Emma Loretta, age 73, of Dayton, passed away Friday, January 20, 2012. Emma was born in Bath County, KY on September 19, 1938 to the late Elias & Retta (Helton) McQuithy & retired from Ledex with 38 years of service. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, Hansfard Chuck Chatman, a sister, Iva Couch & 2 brothers, Curtis & Carl McQuithy. Survived by a daughter, Kristie Mong & Joe McGovern of Vandalia; a son, Scott Chatman of Dayton; 2 granddaughters, Danielle Allen &Shianne Mong; 1 sister & brother-in-law, Silverene & Cello of FL; sister-in-law, Mae McQuithy of KY; special friends, Sharon Fisher, Janna Petrosky, Amy Carpenter and several nieces and dear friends. Funeral service 2 P.M. Wednesday, January25, 2012 at the Morton & Whetstone Fuenral Home. Interment Polk Grove Cemetery. Emmas family will receive friends 4-8 P.M. Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Emma Chatman Memorial fund at Abby Credit Union. The family would like to express their thankfulness for the care provided by the ICU staff at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton.
