WARREN, Emma Jane age 86, of Tipp City, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2009 at the VA Medical Center Hospice Unit after a lengthy illness. She was born January 9, 1923 in Pekin, IL, daughter of the late Frank & Dolly (Dowell) Morris. Jane was a US Navy Veteran of WWII, was a member of the First Baptist Church, Vandalia where she was involved with the Classics , and was a member of American Legion Post #586 in Tipp City. Preceded in death by her husband, Normal Warren, 4 brothers, Andrew, Clinton, Loren & Gerald Morris & 1 sister, Dorothlyne Johnston, Jane is survived by her children, Cheryl Heffernan & husband, Mark of Tipp City, Gary Warren of Greenville, Susan Morgan of Troy & Mark Warren & wife, Deanna of Chesapeake, VA; 12 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 11 at First Baptist Church, 140 Elva Ct., Vandalia with Pastor David Starry officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church on Monday evening from 5-8 pm. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
