Ernest H. Wilson

Age 93 of Harrison Twp., passed away Monday May 21, 2018 at Springmeade Health Center following an illness. He was born May 6, 1925 in Booneville, KY, son of the late Chester & Nell Wilson.

Ernest was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran who served on the USS Houston and was a retired driver for F&G Tool and Die.

He was preceded in death by his wife Alberta Wilson and his brothers and sisters. Ernest is survived by his daughter Tena & husband Mark Schlein of Vandalia and his granddaughter Kayla Schlein of Charlotte, NC.

Funeral services will be held Thursday May 24 at 12 noon at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia. Burial will follow at Willowview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 11am until time of the service at noon.
