Ethel M Estey

ESTEY, Ethel M. (Buckner) age 78, of Vandalia passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at the Vandalia Park Nursing Center. She was born January 12, 1931 in Sabina, Ohio, daughter of the late William T. & Florence Freeland. Ethel served many local school districts while working as a bus driver, taking special pride and enjoyment in working with special needs adults and children. Preceded in death by 1 daughter, Diana Lea Buckner and 1 son, David Buckner, Ethel is survived by 2 sons, Gordon & wife, Rosemary Buckner, and Jerry & wife, Rose Buckner; 1 daughter, Frances MacLain; 1 daughter-in-law, Donna Buckner; 7 grandchildren, Nathan, Christopher, Jennifer, Matthew, Carrie, Krista & Donna and her great-grandchildren. It was Ethels wish that her body be cremated, and a private family service will be held at a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of Dayton in Ethels memory.
