Ethelene Dunaway

Age 80, of Blanchester, Ohio passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton. Ethelene was born March 2, 1944 in Davidson, Tennessee to the late D. Jr. & Bessie (Reneau) Cravens. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 15 years, William D. Dunaway, in 2001.

Ethelene was a member of the Church of Christ her whole life. She will be remembered by her family as one who loved the Lord and helping others in need.

Ethelene is survived by two sons, Phillip Murphy, Jr. and Paul Murphy & his wife, Christine; five grandchildren, Mack, James, Julie (Tie), Megan (Patrick) & Eric (Samantha); three great grandchildren, Witten, Adeline & Charlie Rose; one brother, R. D. Cravens; and by her extended family, her church family and many good friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, May 7, at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, 11890 North Dixie Drive, Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Pastor Paul Casteel will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Ethelene to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45420.
