Frank R Francisco

FRANCISCO, Frank R., age 89, of Butler Twp., passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at his residence. He was born February 27, 1920 in Dayton, OH, son of the late Franklin A. & Edna M. (Black) Francisco. Frank was a retired Printer with Dayton Press with 30 years of service, was a U.S. Army Air Corp Veteran of WWII, a member of the Vandalia United Methodist Church and the River View Masonic Lodge. He was also a retired member of the Butler Twp. Fire Department and was an active member of the Vandalia Senior Citizens. Frank is survived by his wife of 67 years, Berniece (Carter); 4 children, Robert Bob Francisco & wife, Pat of Gahanna, Rick Francisco & wife, Darla of Vandalia, Gary Francisco & wife, Angie of IL and Gail Jackson & husband, Ron of Vandalia; 10 grandchildren, Robin, Michael, Andrea, Jesse, Heather, Tony, Becky, Amanda, David & Mike; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held for Frank at 10:00 am, Saturday, April 25 at the Vandalia United Methodist Church, 200 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Thomas Weeks officiating. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Vandalia Senior Citizens. The family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to the Blackstone Home Health organization and to all the faithful friends of the neighborhood who offered comfort, care and compassion to Frank and his family.
