Frank Meade

MEADE, Frank L. age 80 of Dayton, passed away Thursday December 6, 2007 at the Covenant House following an illness. He was born November 29, 1927 in Sciotoville, OH , son of the late Homer & Ida Meade. He was a retired counselor with Catholic Social Services. Frank was a graduate of Roosevelt High School, Sinclair College, and Wright State University. He was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church, the Hibernian Club, the Czechoslovakian Club and the Polish Club. Frank is survived by 4 children Teresa Beyer of Dayton, Stephen & wife Jackie Meade of Wellsburg, WVA, Chris & wife Rebekah Meade of Tipp City, and Michael & wife Jill Meade of Dayton; 6 grandchildren Rachel Brady, Candice Meade, Stephen Meade II, Christina Dyer, Jacob Meade, and Ben Meade; 4 great-grandchildren Jill, Lindsay, Samuel, and Devin Michael and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the Masters family for their kindness to Frank throughout his life. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday December 10 at 10:00am at St Joseph Catholic Church 411 E. Second St. Dayton with Fr. Louis Osterhage officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia on Sunday from 2 to 4pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Covenant House 4911 Covenant House Drive Trotwood, OH 45426 or to Hospice of Dayton in Franks memory.
