Frank Smallwood

SMALLWOOD, J. Frank, age 93 of Harrison Twp., passed away Sunday, December 23, 2007 at the Grafton Oaks Nursing Center. He was born January 2, 1914 in Trotwood, OH, son of the late John R. & Clara A. Smallwood. Frank was a retired Mechanical Engineer with NCR Corporation, was a WW II Army/Air Force Veteran, a 1932 graduate of Vandalia-Butler High School and a 1950 graduate of Indiana Tech. Preceded in death by his parents, and 3 brothers, Paul, Howard and Wilbur Smallwood and 1 niece, Lois Caverlee, Frank is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, E. Lillian Smallwood; 1 daughter, Cindy (Caverlee) & husband, Bob Cavossa of FL; 2 granddaughters, Patricia Midkiff of Toledo and Lisa & husband, Barry Irbing of FL; 1 great-grandson, Alex Irbing; special friends, Tina Klingle and Karen Moore and numerous other relatives and friends. It was Franks wish that his body be cremated and a Memorial Service for family and friends will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 12, at The Gables at Singing Woods, 140 E. Woodbury Dr., Dayton with Chaplain Joyce Williams officiating. If so desired, contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association in Franks memory.
