WILSON, Frank Henry, age 87 of Vandalia, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton. He was the son of the late Leroy Glenn & Ida (Brust) Wilson and was preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel Lee (Roberts); 1 brother, Howard; 1 infant daughter, Geraldine; 1 infant son, Michael Rae; and 1 grandson, Kevin Heggs. He is survived by his second wife, Rita (Fessler-Borger); 1 son, Frank L. Wilson; 1 daughter-in-law, Johnnie C. (Van Hooser) Wilson; 2 daughters, Christina Heggs of Vandalia & Marlo Jo Gibson of Glendora, CA; 3 grandsons, Brian Heggs of Tipp City, Todd Gibson of CA and Tracy Wilson of Troy; 1 granddaughter, Jennifer (Wilson) & husband, Travis Weimer of Troy; 4 great-grandsons and 3 great-granddaughters; step-daughter, Carolyn Lewis (Mike); and 2 step-sons, Dan Fessler & Mark Fessler (Teresa); 2 step-grandsons and 3 step-granddaughters, and many nieces and nephews. He was an Army Veteran of WWII, where he served in the Philippines to Japan. He was a 32nd degree Mason, was a member of the Antioch Shrine of Dayton and was a member of the AmVets of Vandalia. He was a factory manager of Koehler Aircraft Products when it was in Dayton, and was later President and part owner of Day-Hio Products, Inc. of Dayton. He was also President and part owner of Parts Fabricators, Inc. of New Carlisle whereby he later retired. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, December 22 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:30 pm until time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420 in Franks memory.
