Gene Stewart
Age 87, of Tipp City, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 6, 2020, at Grandview Hospital in Dayton. Gene was born April 19, 1932 in Oneida, Tennessee to the late Cecil & Minnie (Kocur) Stewart.
Gene retired in 1982 from Ohio Bell and went on to establish Spectrum Printing in 1978. He was a licensed private pilot (IFR certified) and he was a Thoroughbred Racehorse owner & trainer.
Gene is survived by his loving wife of the past 42 years, Nan (Madlinger) Stewart; two daughters, Kathie Rosenberg & Kim Breno; four grandchildren, Emily Breno, Ali Faulkner (Shane), Justin Rosenberg & Lisa Coryell (Brett); five great grandchildren, Kenton, Claire, Vivian, Jay & Sawyer; nephew, Gary Stewart (Jackie); and by two nieces, Lynn Call (Carm) & Erin Wells (Thad).
The family will be receiving friends from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. (EST), Friday, January 10, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia, Ohio 45377. A graveside service will be held at the Mt. Helen Cemetery, Allardt, Tennessee on Saturday, January 11, at 1:00 p.m. (CST).
