Gene Warnke

WARNKE, Gene R., age 69, a longtime resident of Vandalia, passed away Friday, January 30, 2009 at Heartland of Eaton after a lengthy illness. He was born March 20, 1939 in Dayton, son of the late Robert & Elizabeth (Hoerner) Warnke. Gene was a 1957 graduate of Vandalia Butler High School and graduated from Sinclair College. Gene is survived by cousins, Jo Ann Warnke of Lewisburg, John Hoerner of Cincinati, Melanie Warnke of Brookville and Melinda Schaar of Lewisburg. Funeral services will be held at 8 pm Monday, February 2, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., with Pastor David Justice officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:30 pm until time of service. Burial at Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg.
