Bowman, Geneva (GeeBee) of Centerville OH (formally of Union Oh and Arjay Ky) passed away, August 20th, 2018. She was born June 18th, 1936 in Bell County KY. She was born to the late Aaron & Martha Carnes. She was preceded in death by her former husband and father of her children (Walter) son (Ron) brother (Jimmy) and sister (Anita) and is survived by her brother (Charles), her children, Cathy Johnson (Miles), Marsha Osman (Bill), and Rickey Fields, as well as grandchildren Missy, Michael, Ronnie, Jennifer, Jessica, Brittany, Jackie, Brett, and great grandchildren (Alyssa & Jordyn), (Kenden) (Christopher, Dylan, Alisha, Emma), (Hailey), (Samantha), (Logan), and numerous other family members.
Geneva worked for GM Inland Division for 20+ years where she made life long friends. She was also a fixture at Kitchens By Design with a warm smile, a hot cup of coffee, and something good to eat for all who entered.
She was orphaned before the age of 2 due to a terrible car accident that claimed both her parents and was then raised by her family members. She thoroughly enjoyed her high school years and loved roller skating. She was an amazing mother who raised 4 children under the age of 10 on her own. She insured her children had everything they ever needed. In her later years, she enjoyed her beautiful condo in Centerville, the Dallas Cowboys, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Milton Union football, puzzles, her daughters spending time with her, and daily calls from her son Rickey. She had a true joy of Christmas and all the family traditions.
Visitation will be held at The Vandalia United Methodist Church at 200 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia OH 45377 on, August 22nd, 2018 from 11am-1:00pm, with the funeral service to follow.
