George A. Paul

PAUL, George A., age 85 of Vandalia, formerly of Crossville, TN, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Stonespring of Vandalia. George was born September 1, 1931 in Dayton, OH, son of the late Thomas & Lillian (Sprague) Paul. George proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict. Preceded in death by one brother, Tom, George is survived by his wife of 63 years, Edith ((Farmer); daughter, Janet Brown (Jodie); son, George Paul (Teresa); 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, along with numerous other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, July 25 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Interment to follow at Royal Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until time of service. If so desired, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in George’s memory.
