Gerald Anderson

ANDERSON, Gerald, age 78 of Butler Twp., passed away Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Kindred Hospital of Dayton following complications from a stroke. He was born March 8, 1935 in Dayton, OH to Everett & Helen (Rainwater) Anderson. Jerry was a U.S. veteran of the Ohio Air National Guard, attended the University of Dayton, retired from Wyle Labs at WPAFB and was an accomplished Jazz guitar player. Preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Herbert & Florence Rainwater and brother, Charles Anderson, Jerry is survived by his wife of 30 years, Ginny; sons, Scott (Connie), Dan (Kim) and Tim (Rosalina) Anderson, all of IN; step-children, Vicki Dearth of Dayton and Michael Lively (Anne) of SC; 8 grandchildren, Devin, Abbey, David (Victoria), John Paul, & Wyatt Anderson all of IN, Joey Anderson of TX, David Towe (Yvette) of FL and Jon Towe of Dayton; and his sister, Mary Lewis (Paul) of KY. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm, Monday, August 12 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Burial will follow at Willowview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:30 pm until time of service.
