Gerald H. Klawonn

KLAWONN, Gerald H., age 76, of Vandalia, passed away Friday, December 24, 2010 at the Spring Creek Nursing Center in Huber Heights, OH. He was born January 28, 1934 in Dayton, OH, son of the late Oscar & Stella (Carter) Klawonn. Preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert & Richard and 1 sister, Phyllis, Gerald is survived by his wife of 57 years, Geraldine (Grillo); 4 children, Marchel Potts, Daniel Klawonn, Scott Klawonn, & Shana Klavinger; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held at 6:00 pm, Thursday, December 30 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Fr. Charlie Lang officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 pm until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association in Geralds memory.
