Gertrude Miller

MILLER, Gertrude L. Grandma , age 100 of Vandalia, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at her residence. She was born April 28, 1908 in New Lebanon, OH, daughter of the late Simeon & Ada May (Blosser) Comer. Gertrude had been a member of the Memorial Baptist Church, where she was also a member of the 60+ Club and the Mary & Martha Circle Club. Gertrude was loved by all who knew her, and was everyones Grandma. Preceded in death by her husband, Frank C. Miller, 1 daughter, Betty Lou Morgan, daughter-in-law, Betty Miller, her siblings, Curtis Comer, Eva Colvin, Betty Jane McGriff, & Marcus Comer, Gertrude is survived by 2 sons, Frank Miller Jr. of Dayton and Bob & wife, Lois Miller of Huber Heights; 1 brother, Kermit Comer of New Lebanon; 12 grandchildren, Janet Jones (Dan), Jeff Miller (Georgia), Leslie Kay Jackson, Judy Horner (Glen), Cindy Peffley (Tim), Mike Miller (Hedvika), Robin Kussman (Mark), Jerry Miller (Pam), Mitch Miller (Kelly), Jim Miller, Marsha Bowen, and Andy Morgan (JoAnn); 24 great-grandchildren, 24 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, January 5, 2009 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-5 pm. If so desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Gertrudes memory.
