Gladys A. Burke

Burke, Gladys Agnes, Age 96 of Huber Heights, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013. She was born on October 23, 1916 to the late Marsh and Grace Shelton. She was a member of the Wallins Creek, KY, Church of God. She was known for her culinary talent & her love of food. Gladys was preceded in death by her beloved husband William Carter Burke, 1 son Bill Buford Burke, 1 daughter Geraldine Burke, 1 grandson Michael Wolfe, 5 brothers & 2 sisters. She is survived by 2 daughters and son-in-law, June & Pat Wolfe of Piqua and Gay Caskey of Centerville. She was a loving grandmother to 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving, 1 sister, Molly Smith of Dayton, 2 brothers, Rod Shelton of KY and Bob Shelton of MI. And numerous other relatives & friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 5, 2013 at 10:30 am at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor Todd Hoskins officiating. Burial at Forest Hills Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday January 4, 2013 from 5-7 pm.
