Glenn R. Hart Jr.

HART, Glenn Robert Jr., age 81 of Vandalia, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Englewood Manor Nursing Home. He was born October 15, 1928 in Miami County, OH, son of the late Glen R. Sr. & Pauline M. (Jackson) Hart. Glenn was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, formerly attended Polk Grove United Church of Christ and was a retired employee from Edward Rose Homes. Preceded in death by 1 brother, Jim, Glenn is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty (Neff); 2 sons, Bruce Hart of Vandalia & Jeff Hart (special friend, Jon Dearbaugh) of Sidney; 1 daughter, Kay Davis (William) of Vandalia; 3 brothers, Donald Hart (Jan), Joe Hart (Sue), both of Miami County and Jerry Hart of Vandalia; 1 sister, Shirley Jenkins (Bob) of Vandalia; 2 grandchildren, Brett Davis (special friend, LaCosta Hawley) & Jacob Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, February 8 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Andy Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 8087 Washington Village Dr., Dayton, OH 45458-1840 in Glenns memory.
